Snow 3

Here are the rest of the pictures. Ken, Luke, Cole, and Jack went skiing the second day while Clay, Tate, and I stayed nice and warm in our hotel. The next day we went shopping in downtown Cadillac. We went into a coffee cafe, a candy store, and a toy store. There was snow everywhere and it snowed while we were shopping. For New Year's Eve we ate at Maggie's Tavern. The tavern had a very authentic older middle west decor to it. And the food was great! After we ate we saw a movie. When we left the movie at 11:00 pm EST it was -1 degrees. When we went to sleep at 1:00 am EST the weather channel said it was -8 degrees! brrrr!!!
We woke up and ate breakfast then left Cadillac. We drove to Tennessee and spent the night. We arrived home Friday. We left a 15 degree temperature and arrived home to a 65 degree temperature. Ken and the guys are missing the cold weather...but I love our mild south Alabama temperature! No more thermal underwear!! :)
I hope you all enjoy our pictures.

SNOW!!!

We wanted to surprise the boys this Christmas. We told them that we were going to visit their Granny and Paw in Atlanta on Saturday. We left around 7:30 am. Around 12:15 the guys started asking when would we be at Granny and Paw's. They knew that we should be close. We were in Nashville Tennessee at the time. We asked the boys if this looked like Atlanta...they said No...then they started asking us where were we going. We told them this was a Christmas surprise...we are going to Cadillac Michigan to see snow. The original plan was to drive 8 hours, spend the night in a hotel, then drive the rest of the way. Well, Cadillac Michigan was expecting blizzard like conditions Sunday morning at 5:00 am EST and we did not want to drive in that. So, we drove straight through. It was a long drive, but we were so glad to arrive. These pictures are of the first night and first day. We had fun in the parking lot of the Holday Inn! I am sure that everyone there knew that we were from Alabama!! :)
